Timeline
Voice, music, sound effects and extra tracks, each on its own row, lined up in time.
- 1Play preview
- Plays the spot in your browser with the same mix as the final file: the music dips under the voice and effects land on time. Click the ruler to play from any point. Previews never use credits.
- 2Undo and redo
- Every change goes into the history. Ctrl+Z undoes it, so you can experiment without losing what already sounded good.
- 3Voice track
- The voice-over waveform, labeled with the chosen voice. When selected, the settings below apply to the voice: volume, how long the music plays alone before the first word, and studio processing.
- 4Mute and Solo
- Mute removes the track from the final audio and the preview. Solo plays only that track in the preview so you can check a detail, without changing the final file.
- 5Music track
- The background music, in light gray, labeled with the track name. When selected, the music settings appear right below the timeline.
- 6Blue line: music volume
- The path of the music volume across the spot: up in the intro, down under the voice, a little higher in the pauses and back up at the end. Drag the line up or down to change a section.
- 7Sound effects
- With "+ Effect" you search the library, listen and place it: click the section or the spot on the graph where it should play and it snaps to the start of the word. Then drag, stretch and change its volume. Up to 30 effects per spot. Range -30 to +12 dB
- 8+ Track
- A sound under the whole spot: market ambience, a crowd, rain, a second piece of music or a file of your own. It sits below the music, can loop and dip under the voice, and has volume, bass, treble and fade in and out. Up to 4 extra tracks.
- 9Keyboard shortcuts
- Space plays and stops. Ctrl+Z undoes. Delete removes the selected block. Arrow keys move the block in 0.1 second steps.
Music settings
Each setting is a button showing its current value. Click it and the control opens upward; adjust it and click again to close.
- 10Music
- Music volume when the voice is not speaking: in the intro, the pauses and the ending. Range -30 to +6 dB
- 11Dip under voice
- How far the music drops while the voice speaks. More negative puts the voice further forward; close to zero keeps the music present. Range -30 to 0 dB
- 12Breathing
- How much the music rises in the short pauses between sentences. At 0% it stays down until the voice stops for good; at 100% it breathes in every pause. Range 0 to 100%
- 13Bass
- More or less bass in the music. Cutting bass helps the voice come through small speakers and horn speakers. Range -12 to +12 dB
- 14Treble
- More or less treble in the music. Cutting treble leaves room for the brightness of the voice. Range -12 to +12 dB
- 15Music start
- Where in the song the spot begins. Use it to skip an intro that takes too long. Range 0 to 2 min
- 16Ending
- How long the music keeps playing after the last word, fading out. Range 0 to 15 s
- 17Lead-in
- The music starts dipping this long before the word, so the first syllable is not covered. Range 0 to 1 s
- 18Return
- How long the music takes to come back after the voice stops. Short sounds lively; long makes a smoother transition. Range 0.05 to 3 s
- 19Under effects
- How far the music backs off while a sound effect plays, so the cash register or the horn stand out without adjusting each one. Range 0 to -12 dB
- 20Change music
- Goes back to the music step to listen to and pick another track from the library, or upload your own.
Volume by section
For when one part of the spot needs more or less music.
- 21Volume by section
- The voice-over is split into sections, plus the intro and the ending. Click a section to raise the music there by 2 dB; right-click to lower it. Good for punching up a call to action or making room for a price.
Mixing and finishing
Two side panels, opened from the buttons at the top of the screen.
- 22Mixing
- Choose in one click how much the music dips under the voice: light (the music breathes in the pauses), medium or strong (the voice right up front), or custom. The music dips most in the mids, where speech lives, and keeps its bass and treble: the voice is clear without the music disappearing. This panel also holds the voice volume and studio processing: compression and EQ that make the voice firmer and clearer and, on an uploaded recording, remove hiss.
- 23Finishing
- Tell us where the spot will play and the file comes out ready for that place: loudness, mono or stereo, compression and bass and treble cuts. Social media (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)Stereo, -14 LUFS: the loudness the platforms use. FM radioStereo, more compressed, no highs above 15 kHz (FM cuts them). TV and regulated radio (EBU R128)Stereo, -23 LUFS: the standard TV stations ask for. Loudspeaker carMono, very loud and compressed, no bass (it only distorts on horn speakers). Storefront and in-store audioMono, compressed to stand out from street noise. WhatsAppMono and a light file, to send to customers and groups.
Final file
When the preview sounds right, just generate it.
- 24Generate final audio
- Mixes the spot to MP3 (and WAV on plans that include it), measured and set to the loudness standard for the chosen destination (the LUFS value shows on each version). Mixing never uses credits: generate as many versions as you like.
- 25Versions
- Each export becomes a numbered version with a player and a download button. Earlier versions stay saved in the project.
